Summer Memories So Far

This has been a awesome summer so far so many great outings with friends to share with. There has been dinners out, a camping weekend, watching fireworks, a 2 day trip to Streator visiting a old friend, and many more planned. Yes, life is good !

Proud Mom

This holiday seems appropriate to share with you that on June 1st my Navy son was promoted to the rank of Commander. He has served in the Navy for 24 yrs. One of his goals has been to command a battleship and with this promotion he is now qualified. I want to thank all the men & woman out there that have and still serve our country.

Hello out there in feline world. Yesterday was my yearly phyical, booster shot, and had my toenails clipped. Iam happy to let you know I passed with flying colors. I knew I would, meow ! The Dr brought a baby like scale to weigh me. I know you females out there would not like that being so fussy about your weight & all but I let them put me on it with no problem and the Dr said excellent ! I did not even flinch when I got my booster shot being the man Iam, meow. The best was at the end when the Dr's assistant kept telling mom what a good cat I was and so handsome. I guess that showed her ! Iam telling you out there when you have to have all this done just be cool and it really pays off ! Meow & out. Cheeto

I just love Emos's and the cony dogs. How long has this place been around anyway ? No doubt Spring is here on Thurs.

Sending a big meow shout out to all my feline friends out there ! Yesterday on St Paddy's Day was my birthday. Iam 4 yrs old now and in human years that is 32 yrs. I heard Mom on the phone with her daughter talking about my birthday and how that is 32 yrs in humans and her daughter said well he is old enough to move out on his own now and then they laughed. I do not see anything funny about that remark and Iam not the ONE going anywhere !
Mom bought me a new brush as a birthday gift it is OK anything that makes me look more handsome in fine by me. She also got me 2 new feeding dishes now those Iam not too sure about as you know us felines do not like change and are set in our ways so the verdict is still out on them. Meow & out. Cheeto

Good Riddance To February

I have never been so glad to see a month end as February for me has been a month of deaths and illness. It began when the father of my first 3 children passed away at age 67 yrs. The 3 took it very hard and were at his bedside when he passed this was their first experience at witnessing death up close and personal. It was bittersweet as he had been absent from their lives for 32yrs and then had a reunion of 10 yrs before his death.
The next week my neighbor passed away that lived beside me here in the condo and she is truly missed was a great friend and neighbor always willing to help someone out.
The following week was the 3 year anniversary of my Mom's death.
Finally I got sick a week ago today and still fighting it. I had to break down and go to the Dr Tues as I knew I was not going to fight it off on my own. I finish the antibiotic tomorrow, the Dr said the head cold went in to bronchitis, have a very nasty cough yet.
So, Iam looking forward to March and hope it will be a much more positive month for me and warmer !
